Requirements

• Three years of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and possession of an active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania; or
• One year of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and a bachelor's degree in human services, behavioral sciences, education, or nursing; or
• Two years of professional experience providing therapeutic care and services for individuals with a developmental disability, which included the development and implementation of individual residential support plans and services, and a bachelor's degree.
• All employees must meet the qualifications of a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations.
• Applicants who qualify based on authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania who currently possess an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• You must meet the PA residency requirement.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Individual Support Plans reflect each person's needs, preferences, and goals
• Monitor living areas and review incident data to promote safe and healthy environments
• Guide interdisciplinary teams in developing training plans and documenting required meetings
• Review records and observe services to confirm recommendations are completed accurately
• Direct and evaluate Residential Services Workers to support productive and effective work performance
• Check records and participate in improvement efforts to ensure compliance with policies and standards
