Requirements

• Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing portions of support plans to provide accurate information about each individual
• Conduct assigned training plans to support active treatment and daily skill development
• Document training results and communicate updates to maintain effective services
• Share essential information with interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated care
• Help select, place, and manage personal items and furnishings to maintain a therapeutic setting
• Advocate for individual rights and follow all policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
