DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position performs carpentry and masonry work across the Ebensburg Center, helping maintain safe and functional buildings and equipment. The work relies on skilled craftsmanship and steady attention to repair, construction, and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Successful completion of the Building Trades Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Three years of experience in the construction, installation, repair, restoration, or maintenance of structures and articles made from wood, composite, and wood substitute materials; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.
• Be able to perform essential job functions.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and maintain wooden structures such as floors, roofs, cabinets, decks, and walls
• Lay brick, stone, tile, and concrete, and construct arches, chimneys, partitions, and other masonry features
• Use pneumatic and manual tools to break plaster, tile, stone, and concrete as needed
• Complete routine repairs and upkeep on doors, windows, locks, screens, roofs, spouting, and related equipment
• Repair wooden and metal furniture, construct program equipment, and support enrichment needs across the Center
