This role focuses on supporting individuals at Selinsgrove Center by helping deliver treatment, training, and daily living services. You will work as part of the Interdisciplinary Team to encourage growth in self-care, socialization, and health maintenance.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance (required after conditional offer of employment).
Responsibilities
- Assist with IHP/ISP development by recording accurate information for each individual
- Implement training plans to help individuals build important skills
- Share observations with team members to enhance service delivery
- Document information in unit records to support coordinated care
- Help maintain a therapeutic setting through selection and care of personal items
- Model respectful behavior that protects dignity, privacy, and rights
