Requirements
- Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Be able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct specified training activities and assist with skill development based on each Individual Support Plan
- Complete designated assessment tasks and contribute information to support accurate and effective planning
- Share updates with the interdisciplinary team on strengths, needs, incidents, and daily living activities
- Assist with selecting and organizing personal items, furniture, and equipment to maintain a therapeutic environment
- Demonstrate professionalism, protect individual rights, and advocate for personal dignity
- Report all occurrences promptly to appropriate supervisory staff
