Requirements

Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
You must meet the PA residency requirement.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

Assist in completing assessments and information used to develop each individual plan
Carry out assigned procedures and training activities that support active treatment
Document observations and progress to help update individual plans
Share information with team members to support coordinated services
Help maintain a positive setting by assisting with personal items and activity choices
Demonstrate respectful behavior that supports dignity and individual rights
