About The Position

The Residential Program Supervisor leads the daily operations of a residential home and supports residents in living safe, meaningful, and fulfilling lives. The role provides direct support with daily living skills, community outings, health-related needs, and behavior support plans, while promoting dignity, independence, and personal growth. The supervisor guides and mentors direct care staff and coordinates programming, regulatory compliance, communication with families, managers, and clinical partners, hiring, training, scheduling, quality assurance, and emergency support. The position is based in Geneva, New York, with a usual schedule of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and flexibility to meet program needs, including providing shift coverage when needed.

Requirements

Two years of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience; internal candidates require one year of relevant experience.
Valid New York State driver’s license.
Ability to provide shift coverage as needed.
Ability to work independently and motivate others.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support services to residents to help them have fulfilling lives.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned residential home.
Supervise and guide direct care staff.
Provide peace of mind to residents’ families.
Follow The Arc Ontario policies and procedures to promote residents’ well-being, safety, and individual rights.
Coordinate active programming and maintain regulatory compliance.
Communicate with families, managers, and clinical partners.
Participate in hiring, training, scheduling, and quality assurance.
Provide emergency support and shift coverage as program needs arise.
Assist residents with daily living skills, community outings, health-related needs, and behavior support plans.
