About The Position

Dungarvin is a mission-driven organization, established in 1976, dedicated to providing person-centered support services to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities or other complex medical needs. The company operates in 15 states, focusing on empowering individuals to live as independently as possible through respect, response, and choice. This particular role, a Residential Program Coordinator (RPC) / Lead DSP, is a temporary full-time position. The successful candidate will join a passionate team committed to making a lasting impact by working directly with individuals in need of assistance.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or one-year of lead staff experience or a two-year degree in a related field.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Passion for Helping Others: Experience with mental health conditions (e.g., bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety)
  • Physical stamina to stay on your feet, walk, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer skills for tracking progress and documentation.
  • Good communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal) to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals with daily activities like personal care, meal prep, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry, all while fostering independence.
  • Maintain a clean, safe space that ensures comfort and support while helping individuals reach their personal goals.
  • Provide supervision, positive reinforcement, and guidance to help individuals achieve their aspirations.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, maintain consistency in programming, individual care, and communication with staff and support team members.
  • Coordinate a variety of services including individual finances, activities, program services, family involvement, educational/vocational programs, health care/nutrition and household management.
