About The Position

Seeking an LPN or RN to work several PRN shifts at a residential adolescent group home program in Kennesaw, GA. This role requires 1 shift per week and 1 weekend per month, along with a mandatory 2-week orientation. The position involves providing direct care nursing, administering medications, performing medical treatments, completing admissions, and engaging with the youth served and their families/guardians. Devereux Georgia serves youth aged 10 to 21 with significant emotional, behavioral, and intellectual/developmental challenges in a secure residential setting. The campus offers various outdoor activities and recreational facilities. Devereux also offers the ASCEND career accelerator program, providing career guidance, coaching, skills development, and financial assistance for education, including tuition coverage and student loan repayment.

Requirements

  • Completion of accredited LPN or RN program.
  • Current Georgia Nursing License required.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.
  • Overnight availability, 6:30p-7am, every other weekend (Sat/Sunday) availability and holidays required.
  • Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class located in Kennesaw, GA; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months to one (1) year of Nursing experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in psychiatric nursing with children or adolescents is a plus.
