About The Position

Eagle Star Housing is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and organized Residential Living Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting veterans and other vulnerable individuals on their journey toward stability, independence, and renewed purpose. The position is a Full-Time Overnight role, focused on creating a supportive environment where residents can rebuild their lives. The specialist will be responsible for the daily operations of the house, including meal preparation, maintaining a safe and respectful environment, and providing case management support.

Requirements

  • Experience working with veterans and/or other vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of the social security/disability benefits referral process.
  • Familiarity with mental health services, housing resources, and case coordination.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to maintain clear boundaries.
  • Organizational skills for tracking documentation, appointments, and client progress.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general procedures and policies.
  • Ability to write reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and residents.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and report to supervisor.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Prep dinner for up to 15 residents.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment.
  • Provide Case Management Support to Residents, including developing service plans, conducting one-on-one case meetings, writing case notes and documentation, and making referrals to community resources.
  • Guide new residents through the intake and orientation process.
  • Ensure residents understand and follow house expectations.
  • Promote mutual respect and personal growth among residents.
  • Collaborate with the Housing Manager and external providers to coordinate care and identify support strategies.
  • Stay present in the house throughout the shift to assist and respond to resident needs in real-time.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, dignity, and hope.
