The Residential Instructor position involves actively working with youth in a residential setting, both inside and outside the home. This role requires creating a positive learning environment, developing strategies to help clients cope with stressful situations, and facilitating independent living skills. The instructor will demonstrate sensitivity and compassion towards clients dealing with past traumatic events, providing a stable living environment and assisting in the therapeutic process. A key part of the role is implementing Treatment Plans or Individual Plans of Care, documenting client progress, and monitoring medical, physical, and behavioral changes. The position also includes administering medication (if medically certified), following behavioral and dietary plans, maintaining the cleanliness of the home and agency vehicle, and ensuring client privacy. Professional conduct is expected in all interactions, and the role may involve supervising family visitations and participating in mandatory training. Additionally, the instructor will take clients on community outings and perform other assigned duties.
