About The Position

Ted’s Air, Plumbing, Electric is seeking a skilled, customer-focused Residential HVAC Service Technician to perform residential HVAC service, repairs, and maintenance. The role involves diagnosing heating and cooling issues, servicing equipment, and recommending appropriate solutions while delivering a high-quality customer experience. The technician will communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, build trust, and respect customers’ homes and time. Work must meet local codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations. The technician is also responsible for accurate service documentation and maintaining a clean, organized work area, vehicle, and tools. Requirements

• At least 2 years of residential HVAC experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, including the ability to collaborate and ask questions when needed.
• EPA certification required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a team environment.
• Ability to safely perform the physical aspects of the role; training, tools, and team support are provided as needed.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of residential HVAC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, repairs, and maintenance on residential HVAC systems.
• Diagnose heating and cooling issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Service, diagnose, and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality systems.
• Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
• Educate homeowners about system performance, efficiency improvements, and preventive maintenance clearly and respectfully.
• Build rapport with customers through professionalism, communication, and respect for their home and time.
• Complete required documentation, invoices, and service records accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, company vehicle, and tools.
• Represent Ted’s with integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
