About The Position

Total Comfort, part of the ARS family of HVAC professionals, is hiring a Residential HVAC Lead Installer. ARS is described as the nation’s largest provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services, with more than 7,000 team members and over 45 years of experience. This is full-time, year-round work, with multiple day and shift options to discuss and choose from.

The Lead Installer removes outdated residential HVAC systems and installs, starts up, and troubleshoots new systems. The installer leads each job with support from an assigned helper and is expected to work professionally, precisely, and efficiently. The role requires residential HVAC installation experience, knowledge of local inspection codes, customer-service and communication skills, and the ability to handle heavy equipment and access attics and crawlspaces.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• Comfort leading installations with an assigned helper.
• Working knowledge of local inspection codes.
• EPA certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and access attics and crawlspaces.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and remove outdated HVAC systems.
• Install, start up, and troubleshoot new residential HVAC systems.
• Lead each installation with the support of an assigned helper.
