About The Position
AFConnect Fiber, a CentraCom company, provides high-speed internet, including fiber-to-the-home services of up to 1 Gb. The Residential Fiber Technician installs service for new customers, troubleshoots existing customer connections, installs internet infrastructure, and maintains and repairs existing infrastructure. The role works with Cat5/6, coaxial, and fiber cables, as well as related switches and other network equipment. No prior experience is necessary; training can be provided. The position is full-time and in person in American Fork, Utah.
Requirements
- Live within a 30-minute commute of American Fork city.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be able to carry and climb ladders.
- Be able to work outside year-round.
- Have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Be polite and courteous and have good problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Install internet service for new customers.
- Troubleshoot existing customer connections.
- Install new internet infrastructure.
- Maintain and repair existing infrastructure.
