About The Position
Bay-CSS is seeking a compassionate Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Waldorf, MD, to provide care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role involves working specific shifts and completing mandatory trainings within designated timeframes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and car insurance.
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Must complete all required trainings on time.
- Ability to adhere to the specified schedule: Thursday 3pm - 9am, Friday 3pm - 7am, and Saturday 11pm - 7am.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in disability support preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living tasks, medication administration, and personal care.
- Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement in daily activities.
- Implement individualized care plans and behavior support strategies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.
- Document resident progress, incidents, and behavioral changes.
- Communicate effectively with the team and follow all protocols and procedures.
