About The Position
Bay-CSS is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Waldorf. This position involves providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will ensure the well-being and safety of residents, promote independence, and support community integration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance.
- Capable of lifting at least 50lbs and passing a background check.
- Must work schedule as presented.
- All trainings must be completed within the specified timeframe.

- Previous experience in a residential care setting or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Capacity to assist residents with daily activities, personal care, and behavioral support.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care per individualized care plans for residents.
- Assist with daily living tasks, meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive environment that nurtures resident growth and well-being.
- Implement behavioral support strategies and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, and changes in health or behavior.
Benefits
- Pay rate is $21 per hour with a $2 weekend differential.
