About The Position

Bay-CSS is looking for a compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team in Waldorf, MD, to provide dedicated care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting during specific shifts. The role requires working Monday 2pm-10pm, Thursday and Friday 10pm-8am, and Saturday 10pm-8am.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in caregiving or supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with residents and team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and work effectively in a team.
• Completion of all required trainings.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks, including grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Support individuals with meal preparation, medication administration, and other daily living activities per their care plans.
• Encourage residents to engage in community activities and social interactions.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents.
• Document and report any changes in residents' health or behavior promptly.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure the well-being and safety of residents.
• Uphold residents' rights and dignity at all times.
