About The Position

Open Sky Community Services provides person-centered services that empower individuals to achieve their goals, build on their strengths, and live meaningful lives in their communities. Its teams provide compassionate, evidence-based, individualized support to help people develop skills, increase independence, strengthen natural supports, and enhance well-being.

The Residential Counselor supports individuals in achieving greater independence and quality of life through direct care, guidance, and skill-building in residential and community-based settings. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goals while maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive environment. Residential Counselors advocate for the people they support and promote community engagement, self-determination, and meaningful relationships.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing individualized, person-centered service and support plans and participate actively in implementing them.
• Provide support with daily living activities, skill development, and personal goal achievement.
• Assist individuals with accessing transportation and community resources as needed.
• Implement activities that promote community inclusion, relationship building, personal growth, and the development of valued social roles.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
• Review, complete, and maintain required documentation accurately and on time.
