About The Position

Open Sky Community Services is seeking a Residential Counselor to support individuals in achieving greater independence and quality of life in residential and community-based settings. The role provides direct care, guidance, and skill-building support, including assistance with daily living activities, community participation, and personal goals. Residential Counselors advocate for the people they support and promote community engagement, self-determination, and meaningful relationships while helping maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive environment.

The position is listed as 16 hours. Open Sky offers additional hourly differentials for certain positions based on skills, location, training, and program responsibilities; candidates should ask their recruiter whether this position qualifies.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing individualized, person-centered service and support plans and actively participate in their implementation.
• Support individuals with daily living activities, skill development, and personal goal achievement.
• Assist individuals with accessing transportation and community resources as needed.
• Implement activities that promote community inclusion, relationship building, personal growth, and the development of valued social roles.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment that promotes the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
• Review, complete, and maintain required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
