About The Position

The Residential Counselor provides direct and indirect services to individuals and groups of members served. The role is with Telecare Magnolia House–USC Campus in Los Angeles, California, a 16-bed crisis residential treatment program serving adults age 18 and older. The program provides short-term, 24/7 residential support to help people experiencing acute psychiatric distress avoid inpatient hospitalization, emergency services, and incarceration; regain stability in a safe, homelike environment; begin working toward longer-term recovery goals; and connect with stable housing and ongoing treatment. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Expected starting wage is $23.00; geographic pay differentials apply, and starting pay may be higher based on relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Requirements

High school graduation or GED equivalent.
At least one year of direct service experience in a mental health setting.
Valid and current driver's license.
Personal vehicle insurance listing the applicant as a driver.
Willingness to drive clients in a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect services to individuals and groups of members served.
Use the company vehicle to transport clients to appointments, groups, and other activities.
