About The Position
The Residential Counselor provides direct and indirect services to individuals and groups of members served at Serenity House, a 13-bed, short-term intensive Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) program for adults in San Mateo County experiencing a mental health crisis. The program operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round. Clients may be referred by a hospital, jail, community source, or themselves. The program aims to help clients avoid inpatient hospitalization and emergency services, regain stability, and begin working toward longer-term recovery goals. This is a full-time overnight position, scheduled Friday through Monday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The expected starting wage range is $24.59–$29.64, with geographic pay differentials; starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. The role includes using a company vehicle to transport clients to appointments, groups, and other activities.
Requirements
- High school graduation or GED equivalent.
- At least one year of direct service experience in a mental health setting.
- Valid and current driver's license.
- Personal vehicle insurance listing the employee as a driver.
- Willingness to use a company vehicle to drive clients to appointments, groups, and other activities.
