Residential Counselor MAP
About The Position
Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE), fostering skills for daily living and community integration. Teach activities of daily living, including cooking, budgeting, and medication management, as well as socialization skills. Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance; administer or supervise medications according to MAP guidelines and document care. Transport residents to appointments and community activities, advocate for residents’ needs, and model healthy coping strategies. Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to assist with mobility, including bending and standing.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
Nice To Haves
- Mental health experience preferred.
- Lived experience or multilingual abilities, such as Spanish or Portuguese.
