About The Position

Legacy Behavioral Health is seeking a Residential Care Specialist to join their team in Tifton, Ga. This role provides services to consumers with a Mental Health (MH), Substance Abuse (SA), or Dual Diagnosis in a 24/7 community-based residential program. The Residential Care Specialist will provide skills training and education on daily living skills such as budgeting, performing household chores, personal hygiene, social skills, and meal preparation. They will also provide case management services, assist with transportation, and observe consumers taking medications as prescribed. Monitoring and documenting consumer progress in treatment using a designated format and within established time frames is required, along with computer knowledge and extensive documentation. The position requires working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid GA driver’s license with less than 5 points
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain CPR Certification
  • Computer knowledge and extensive documentation is required
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to consumers with a MH, SA, or Dual Diagnosis in a 24/7 community based residential program.
  • Provide skills training and education on daily living skills such as budgeting, performing household chores, personal hygiene, social skills, and meal preparation.
  • Provide case management services such as linking to community resources.
  • Assist with transportation.
  • Observe consumers take medications as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document consumer progress in treatment using designated format and within established time frames.
