About The Position

Legacy Behavioral Health is seeking a Residential Care Specialist to join their team in Tifton, Ga. This role involves providing services to consumers with a MH, SA, or Dual Diagnosis in a 24/7 community based residential program. The specialist will provide skills training and education on daily living skills such as budgeting, performing household chores, personal hygiene, social skills, and meal preparation. They will also provide case management services, assist with transportation, and observe consumers take medications as prescribed. Monitoring and documenting consumer progress in treatment is required. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid GA driver’s license with less than 5 points.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain CPR Certification.
  • Computer knowledge and extensive documentation is required.
  • Must be physically and emotionally fit to work in a stress-filled environment to meet deadlines and deal with routine and crisis situations.
  • Ability to work extended periods of sitting, walking, and standing.
  • Ability to travel to off campus locations in BHSGA or personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide services to consumers with a MH, SA, or Dual Diagnosis in a 24/7 community based residential program.
  • Provide skills training and education on daily living skills such as budgeting, performing household chores, personal hygiene, social skills, and meal preparation.
  • Provide case management services such as linking to community resources.
  • Assist with transportation.
  • Observe consumers take medications as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document consumer progress in treatment using designated format and within established time frames.
  • Work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
