About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Residential Architect Designer to join our innovative remodeling company. In this role, you will work with the Senior Designer in residential renovation projects, transforming client visions into functional, beautiful spaces.

Requirements

Proficiency in Chief Architect
Strong knowledge of construction processes including renovation techniques and interior design principles
Experience with project scheduling tools and construction management software
Excellent communication skills with clients and contractors
Ability to create designs that fit the budgets effectively
Skilled in drafting detailed plans, sections, elevations, and 3D visualizations for residential projects
Familiarity with building codes
8+ years of relevant experience in residential design
Proficiency in design software of Chief Architect

Nice To Haves

Fluency with design software and ability to quickly learn new software and skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct site visits for field measurements and design intake.
Collaborate with the Senior Designer to develop efficient and functional floor plans.
Present designs to clients professionally, ensuring designs are well-prepared, easy to digest, and presented professionally.
Prepare documents for permitting, independently taking a project from design contract to approved permit.
Discuss and advocate for a project during plan review to achieve permitting in a timely manner.
Hand off projects seamlessly from Estimators to Project Managers.
Communicate with crews to ensure design standards are maintained.
Utilize design software and learn new software and skills.
Communicate professionally with clients.
Accept client feedback on designs and redesign spaces to fit their needs and critiques.
