About The Position

The Residential Aide is responsible for ensuring client safety, providing direct care services and maintaining building safety during shift hours at the residential site. This role involves monitoring and overseeing families assigned to the family shelter, ensuring their safety and security. The aide works closely with case management staff to address resident needs, assists families with ADL skills and housekeeping, and performs unit inspections and documentation. Responsibilities also include maintaining the kitchen area, preparing and serving meals, managing trash, monitoring refrigerator temperatures, and ensuring residents adhere to program and hotel rules. The aide will also respond to family health and mental health needs and complete wellness checks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Food handlers license
  • Ability to establish workload priorities
  • Exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues or regulations.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential job functions

Responsibilities

  • Monitors, screens, and oversees all families assigned to the family shelter.

  • Complete unit inspections and documentation
  • Clean, sanitize and prepare kitchen area for residents
  • Warm up food for residents and serve meals as needed
  • Remove trash and document food discarded
  • Complete temperature log for refrigerators
  • Monitor families for adherence to program and hotel rules.
  • Responds to family health and mental health needs as needed.
  • Complete wellness checks
