PRN Resident Transportation Driver - Cornerstone
About The Position
Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC), with a mission to honor and serve older adults as an expression of Christ’s love, does so with eight continuing-care retirement communities in Texas. Affiliated with MRC and located in Texarkana, Cornerstone Retirement Community, is a leader in continuing care retirement living offering independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and home health. Cornerstone is Texarkana's only 5 STAR Community and is proud to be officially certified in the Eden Alternative Registry, which honors those organizations deeply committed to transforming traditional models of care into person-directed approaches that put the individual first. We’re seeking a PRN Driver to help transport residents to appointments, outings, and events while building meaningful relationships along the way. This role is more than just driving — you’ll also have the chance to support our Life Enrichment Team, assist with activities, and be part of fun community outings and events.
Requirements
- A safe driving record.
- A passion for working with seniors!
- The ability to handle multiple transportation requests at a time, and if necessary, prioritize, and diplomatically communicate the established priorities residents and staff.
- The ability to project a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner to residents, families and co-workers.
- Friendly, dependable, and patient.
- Enjoys working with seniors.
- Safe, confident driver.
- Flexible and team-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Fulfill all transportation needs for our retirement community campus.
- Operate vehicles such as a bus, van, and car.
- Support the Life Enrichment Team.
- Assist with activities.
- Be part of fun community outings and events.
