About The Position

The Resident Support Specialist supports residents’ well-being by assisting with daily activities and addressing their needs with empathy. Duties include serving meals, managing laundry, engaging residents in conversation, documenting observations and condition updates, and collaborating with other care professionals. The role is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., including every other weekend. A criminal background screening is required. Candidates must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination before starting or commit to becoming fully vaccinated within 30 days of starting, unless granted an approved exemption.

Requirements

Ability to move and assist residents.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Genuine care and empathy for residents’ well-being.
Ability to accurately record resident information and vital signs.
Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals as part of the Wellness team.
Ability to follow ethical standards and protect resident privacy.
Criminal background screening is required.
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination before commencing work, or commitment to obtain full vaccination within 30 days of commencing work, unless an exemption is approved.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities, including serving meals.
