About The Position

The Resident Support Aide promotes resident-centered care by providing residents with choice and delivering meal service, housekeeping, and laundry services in a positive and supportive environment. The listed duties describe the major responsibilities and essential functions of the position and are not intended to include every duty that may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift, push, and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk constantly, and to bend, lift, squat, and kneel frequently.
• Ability to move in tight spaces and between objects, furniture, and equipment.
• Ability to maneuver equipment such as vacuums and mops.
• Ability to receive verbal instructions and converse with co-workers, residents, and visitors.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service experience.
• Previous dining service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and food service for residents.
• Prepare and deliver food substitutions as needed and help residents set up meal trays when needed.
• Serve food according to established portion-control procedures, ensuring residents’ diets and preferences are followed.
• Maintain proper sanitation and storage of kitchen equipment, food, and supplies.
• Ensure food is kept at proper temperatures during service and storage.
• Assist residents and staff with menu questions, complaints, and concerns.
• Understand modified diets and work with the team to support residents’ nutritional well-being.
• Carry out garbage and clean equipment, work tables, ranges, utensils, pots and pans, and floors as assigned.
• Transport food carts to and from resident areas as needed.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
• Provide resident laundry services.
