About The Position

Guardian has an opportunity for a Part-Time Resident Services Coordinator to join our team at Cherry Blossom Estates! Cherry Blossom Estates is a 120-unit LIHTC apartment community in SE Portland, OR. The general purpose of this position is to support the Community Manager’s efforts to ensure that the property meets all ownership goals and objectives, to enforce Guardian Management policies and procedures, and to adhere to Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws at all times. A Resident Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating resident service activities and services provided by public agencies, nonprofits, business members, and community members. This position will examine the needs for on-site activities and services, establish community relationships, and organize programs with a strong focus on outcome-based goals. For this position, we are seeking a dynamic self-starter who enjoys working with others and excels in a fast-paced customer service environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional and communicative. Previous experience in healthcare or a related field and/or one year of prior experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Compensation: $20.00 / hour. Schedule: 10-20 hours / week; schedule TBD. Benefits: 1 hour of State Paid Sick Time for every 30 hours worked, and Employee Assistance Program. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, Healthcare or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet performance expectations with minimal external motivation.
  • Possess strong technology, internet and general computer use skills and willingness to learn new programs as needed.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to complete company training requirements for this position within pre-determined deadlines and attend other training sessions as required.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of prior experience working with diverse populations, preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or a related field and/or one year of prior experience working with diverse populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Always represents Guardian in a positive and professional manner.
  • Coordinates and oversees the delivery of services and program activities to residents both on and off-site.
  • Provides information, assistance, and resident services referrals and engages in follow-up.
  • Performs needs assessments to determine what types of programs and services would benefit the residents.
  • Obtains resident feedback on effectiveness and quality of programs and their delivery through an annual Resident Satisfaction Survey.
  • Develops supportive relationships with residents and conducts regular outreach to encourage participation in resident programs.
  • Provides and coordinates opportunities for residents to learn new skills, build community and promote self-sufficiency, including social, educational and StayWell activities (e.g., celebrations, classes).
  • Connects residents to food resources in their community. Increases resident access to food by facilitating distributions as needed.
  • Establishes connections with service providers and maintains community resource directory in online database.
  • Accurately prepares and maintains monthly budgets, program files and other documents in online database and as required by regulatory requirements.
  • Creates monthly newsletters and calendar of events and activities.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with property manager. Participates in requested meetings with the site team.
  • Actively participates in company-wide special initiatives.
  • Assists with recruiting and coordinating volunteers and vendors as needed.
  • Maintains resident confidentiality and mutually respectful relationships.
  • Interfaces regularly with provider agencies, public agencies, and community volunteer groups to maximize effectiveness of program activities. Monitors participating agency involvement for quality and compliance with memorandums of understanding or other service agreements.
  • Attends department and company meetings, trainings.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Community Manager or Regional Property Manager.
