About The Position

Mutual Housing California is seeking dedicated professionals to join their innovative team and advance their mission of developing, managing, and supporting sustainable affordable housing where residents are partners in creating equitable communities. The Resident Services team connects Mutual Housing affordable housing residents with opportunity through a wide range of direct services and community building strategies. Resident Services Coordinators (RSCs) are responsible for providing a variety of services that promote these goals.

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in social services (property‑based experience a plus)
  • Cultural competency and experience working in diverse, low‑income communities
  • Strong communication, judgment, and relationship‑building skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Driver’s license required
  • Must pass criminal background screening, including education verification and DMV check

  • CPR/First Aid & food safety certs (provided)

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with housing stability, public benefits, budgeting, and referrals
  • Provide mediation, crisis support, and coordination with Property Management
  • Build relationships with residents and host community‑building activities
  • Connect residents with local programs, services, and leadership opportunities
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and service plans
