About The Position

Schochet is currently seeking a Bilingual Resident Services Coordinator to make a difference in the lives of families in affordable/low-income housing. This role involves working one-on-one with residents to identify needs and coordinate services, developing relationships with community partners to bring in programs and resources, and planning events that build community and promote well-being. The RSC works as a team alongside resident services staff, property management, residents, volunteers, and community partners. Connecting residents to services, resources, and support is a primary duty, including assessments, education, referrals, and ongoing monitoring of support. Service topics can include resources for older adults, rental assistance, benefits and entitlements, job support, early childhood education, food assistance, and mental health. The RSC also establishes onsite wellness programs and events through relationships with community partners and/or utilizing the RSC programming budget. Topics can range from celebrations to lectures on health and general wellbeing, such as fraud prevention or computer classes. The role requires advocating, organizing, and problem-solving to obtain results for residents and establishing relationships with community agencies and service providers. This position is 5 days in person, on site.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish required.
  • BS in Social Work or related field or 2-3 years’ experience in social services delivery with youth and families preferred.
  • Pre-employment background check & drug test required.
