About The Position

Join our team as a Resident Services Coordinator; in this unique opportunity, you will begin your journey as a Welcome Home Ambassador, helping to create an exceptional resident experience as new residents move into our brand-new, resort-style senior living campus, Emerson Lakes, opening in early 2027. We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-focused, and driven Resident Services Coordinator who is excited to play a pivotal role in the grand opening of one of Erickson Senior Living's most anticipated new communities in beautiful Lakewood Ranch, Florida. As a Resident Services Coordinator, you will serve as a trusted resource and advocate for residents, fostering meaningful connections and ensuring a smooth transition into community life. This role is ideal for a compassionate professional who thrives on building relationships, creating memorable experiences, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of social work experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in senior setting.
  • Knowledge of the geriatric population and dementia is preferred.
  • Please note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable. These regulations take precedence over the requirements outlined in the job description.
  • The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) requires all new hires to successfully complete and pass an extensive Level 2 background screening, which covers U.S. Federal, State and City checks (submitting fingerprints), prior to the start of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with new residents prior to their move in to establish connections and build meaningful long lasting relationships.
  • Responding to residents in need of psychosocial or supportive services, through direct referral or by the review of incident reports
  • Conducting assessments of potential residents
  • Recommending appropriate levels of residency
  • Assessing and resolving issues regarding residents’ care and safety
  • Developing referral networks within the community for available services
  • Educating residents in the importance of Advanced Directives and completion of documents
  • Leading and coordinating planning for events and activities
