About The Position

DeCoach Recovery provides comprehensive, compassionate care to people struggling with substance use disorders through evidence-based treatments and therapies tailored to each client’s needs. The Resident Monitor helps create a safe, secure, and structured environment where clients can focus on healing and build momentum toward recovery. This is a non-clinical support role involving client interaction, crisis intervention, documentation, group facilitation, facility support, front-office tasks, and transportation. The schedule is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Active Ohio driver’s license and clean driving record.
Commitment to client confidentiality and professional boundaries with clients and co-workers.
Reliable follow-through on documentation, policies, and procedures.
Belief in the organization’s mission, vision, and values, and desire to support a positive, pro-social, drug-free environment.

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, secure, and structured environment for clients.
Serve as a non-clinical resource by listening actively, answering everyday questions, and providing crisis intervention when needed.
Maintain accurate written records and provide written or verbal reports on client activity and behavior.
Facilitate required groups and structured activities.
Handle facility maintenance needs or report issues to the Supervisor.
Review client charts, answer phones, greet guests, and handle copying and filing.
Transport clients to offsite meetings and activities as needed.
Participate in a 30-minute shift change, including a verbal shift report and key handoff.
Attend monthly individual supervision and all required training.
Perform other duties as requested.
