This role involves creating a nurturing and positive learning environment for clients, helping them cope with social, emotional, and physical situations of daily living, and facilitating their independent performance in these areas. The position requires active work both inside and outside the home, including the ability to lift and transfer significant weight. The instructor will implement Individual Plans of Care, monitor client progress, administer medication (once certified), assist with medical appointments, and ensure clients adhere to dietary plans. Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the house, properties, and vehicle is also a key responsibility. The role demands professional conduct, participation in required training, accurate financial record-keeping for petty cash and client funds, and upholding client privacy and confidentiality. Additionally, the instructor will facilitate community outings, ensure compliance with agency policies, and foster positive community relationships.
