The Resident Instructor is responsible for creating a nurturing and positive learning environment for clients, developing strategies to help them cope effectively with social, emotional, and physical situations of daily living, and facilitating independent performance in these areas. This role involves implementing individual plans of care, monitoring client medical, physical, and behavioral changes, and administering medication once certified. The instructor also assists with medical and other related appointments, participates in meal planning and preparation, maintains the appearance and safety of the house, properties, and vehicle, and provides accurate accounting of agency and client funds. Professional conduct, participation in required training, ensuring client privacy, facilitating community outings, and assisting in developing positive neighborhood relationships are also key aspects of this position.
