The Residential Instructor is responsible for creating a nurturing and positive learning environment for clients, developing strategies to help them cope with social, emotional, and physical situations of daily living, and facilitating independent performance. Key duties include implementing Individual Plans of Care, monitoring medical and behavioral changes, administering medication (once certified), assisting with medical appointments, planning and preparing meals, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the residential property and vehicle, and ensuring client safety during community outings. The role requires professional conduct, participation in training, accurate accounting of funds, adherence to confidentiality, and compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
