This position is responsible for the efficient management and administration of highway construction contracts, including determining the acceptability of materials furnished and work performed. The role involves ensuring compliance with State and Federal requirements, documenting contract supplemental agreements with approval authority up to $200,000, and having the authority to suspend contract work. The position also requires participation and representation in various meetings, conferences, and seminars, ensuring compliance with all applicable safety and environmental standards by ADOT, consultants, and contract employees. Additionally, the role involves supervising field office staff, managing the field office budget, vehicle fleet, IT equipment, and other fixed assets and expendables.
