About The Position

The Resident Engagement Assistant, under the direction of the Director of Resident Engagement, plays a crucial role in ensuring residents are integrated into the community's activity programs. This involves assessing resident needs, orienting them to available activities, and actively promoting participation. The role also includes managing entertainment, organizing outings, and fostering a positive team environment. Additionally, the assistant will participate in marketing events and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

Ability to complete Personal Well-Being Profile.
Ability to meet with new residents within 7 days of move-in.
Ability to orient residents to activity programs.
Ability to follow a schedule with minimal change and cancellation.
Ability to arrange entertainment within budgetary allotments.
Ability to promote programs to improve resident participation.
Ability to comply with spending budget on activity supplies and entertainment.
Ability to participate in quarterly marketing/resident events.
Ability to organize events, including planning, advertising, set-up, and clean-up.
Ability to schedule resident outings.
Ability to organize transportation for outings and medical visits.
Ability to foster teamwork and assist co-workers.
Ability to show initiative and have a positive impact.

Responsibilities

Complete Personal Well-Being Profile and meet with new residents within 7 days of move-in to determine program participation.
Orient all residents to the community activity program and how to access activities.
Follow the schedule with minimal change and cancellation.
Arrange entertainment within budgetary allotments for resident enjoyment.
Promote all programs within the community to improve resident participation.
Comply with spending budget on activity supplies and entertainment.
Participate in quarterly events that may be used for marketing efforts, involving resident entertainment.
Organize marketing events with the Director of Resident Engagement, including planning, advertising, set-up, and clean-up.
Schedule resident outings, including site-seeing trips, destination locations, and medical trips.
Organize transportation for activity outings and medical visits with the assisted living community.
Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative, assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
