About The Position

Massage therapists meet with clients to understand their medical history, pain points, and desired outcomes to create a personalized treatment plan. They apply various hands-on techniques to manipulate muscles and soft tissues for therapeutic and relaxing effects. Additionally, they inform clients about different massage modalities and the benefits of regular massage for their health and wellness. Therapists are responsible for ensuring the treatment area is clean, sanitary, and inviting, and must stay updated on new massage trends, participate in continuing education, and maintain necessary licenses.

Requirements

• Completion of a massage therapy program (typically 500 hours or more).
• Adherence to all applicable state and local licensing laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in various massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal massage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to build rapport and listen to client needs.
• Good manual dexterity, stamina, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Empathy, compassion, a professional appearance, and a reliable attendance.
