About The Position

This role involves providing massage therapy services to clients, including consultation, application of various techniques, client education, maintaining a clean environment, and engaging in professional development. The position requires adherence to licensing laws and strong communication and technical skills.

Requirements

• Completion of a massage therapy program (typically 500 hours or more).
• Adherence to all applicable state and local licensing laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in various massage techniques, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal massage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to build rapport and listen to client needs.
• Good manual dexterity, stamina, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Empathy, compassion, a professional appearance, and a reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their medical history, pain points and desired outcomes to create a personized treatment plan.
• Apply various hands –on techniques to manipulate muscles and soft tissues for therapeutic and relaxing effects.
• Inform clients about different massage modalities and the benefits of regular massage for their health and wellness.
• Ensure the treatment area is clean, sanitary and inviting for clients.
• Stay updated on new massage trends, participate in continuing education, and maintain necessary licenses.
