About The Position

Silverado is hiring a creative and compassionate Resident Engagement (Activities) Assistant to help bring joy, engagement, and purpose to residents’ daily lives through recreational programming. The role supports the Director of Resident Engagement in planning and leading activities, facilitates memory enrichment for small groups, encourages resident participation, prepares program materials, and supports music and occupational therapy sessions. The position involves working with older adults, including individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, and requires an active role that includes walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time AM-shift position scheduled Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The anticipated pay range is $18–$19 USD. Offers are contingent on a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable. Silverado uses E-Verify to confirm work authorization.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Comfortable working around animals and pets.
Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Ability to perform an active role involving walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
