About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides hands-on support to residents in the Vivie community while fostering meaningful connections. The role helps residents live with dignity, joy, and companionship by assisting with daily activities, supporting a safe and comfortable environment, and encouraging resident engagement. This is a full-time overnight position at Grand Arbor, scheduled for 64 hours per pay period from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., including every other weekend and holiday. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with no supervisory responsibilities and no travel requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or in a similar role; preferred but not required.
• Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification; preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting their preferences.
• Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
• Help maintain a clean and comfortable environment through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
• Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks while promoting a positive dining experience.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
• Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.
