About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides care and support to residents in a memory care setting. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, transporting residents within the community, responding to emergency calls and requests, and following resident care plans. This is a full-time position scheduled from 2–10 p.m. and every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification.
• Experience working with an elderly population.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, and dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain residents’ vital signs.
