About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides hands-on support to residents and fosters meaningful connections within the community. The role helps residents with daily activities, maintains a safe and comfortable environment, and supports residents in living with dignity, joy, and companionship. This is an hourly, non-exempt, on-call role at The Plaza. The schedule requires picking up a minimum of three shifts per month. The position has no travel requirements and no supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting their preferences.
Encourage residents to participate in social, recreational, and wellness activities.
Help maintain clean and comfortable surroundings through housekeeping, laundry, and organizing resident spaces.
Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks, promoting a positive dining experience.
Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or emotional well-being to nursing staff.
Welcome new residents and help them transition into their new home.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.
