About The Position

The Resident Assistant provides resident care services as scheduled under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RSD) in Assisted Living areas, helping maintain a positive physical and social environment. The role supports residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care and is available on a full-time or part-time basis across all shifts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related health care experience.
• Active CNA or PCA certification is requested in the opening announcement.
• Complete required dementia training if working in a community with an Ensemble Program.
• Pass a criminal background screening.
• Adhere to the company Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to the policy.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and first aid certification, preferred or as required by the state.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on state requirements; any license or certification must be in good standing with the applicable state agency.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is a plus.
• The opening announcement seeks candidates with one to five years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Approach encounters with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, medicinal reminders, and incontinence care.
• Keep proper records of care, including resident service plans, and document services provided.
• Know residents’ service plans and document all services provided.
• Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to maintain continuity of care and services.
• Promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
• Support neighborhood programming and operations.
• Perform additional assigned duties.
