About The Position

Spring Arbor of Bristol is hiring a full-time Resident Assistant for its Memory Care team. The role provides hands-on resident care and supports a safe, warm, and positive physical and social environment. Care is provided as scheduled under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RSD) in Assisted Living areas. The position works 1st or 3rd shift on 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of related health care experience.
• Successfully complete required dementia training in communities with an Ensemble Program.
• Positive criminal background screening.
• Adherence to the Company's Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

• CNA license preferred.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred or as required by the state.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on state requirements; any license or certification held must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is a plus.
• Patient, compassionate approach to memory care.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Approach encounters with residents and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, medication reminders, and incontinence care.
• Maintain proper care records, including resident service plans, and document services provided.
• Know each resident's service plan and document all services provided.
• Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to maintain continuity of care and services.
• Promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors.
• Support the programming and operations of the neighborhood.
• Perform additional assigned duties.
