Resident Assistant II- Beverwyck- Per Diem
About The Position
The Resident Assistant II provides direct care at Terrace at Beverwyck, an assisted living facility, helping older adults live full, active lives in a residential setting. The role supports residents’ independence and provides a safe, supportive environment for individuals who do not meet skilled-nursing criteria for nursing home placement. This is a per diem position with rotating shifts, including 8-hour shifts. Experience working with older adults is a plus. The position offers a shift meal, overnight and weekend shift differentials, first-day eligibility for medical, vision, and dental benefits, and paid continuing education opportunities for careers in nursing.
Requirements
- A sincere desire to work with the elderly population.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.

- Experience with cognitively impaired residents.
Responsibilities
- Engage residents in activities that support full, active lives and promote their independence.
- Participate patiently with residents and assist as needed with activities of daily living and medication management.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for residents who do not meet skilled-nursing criteria for nursing home placement.
- Assist residents with laundry and showers.
- Set up the dining room for breakfast service.
- Complete minimal shift documentation.
- Communicate observations in the daily shift report.
