Aging and People with Disabilities/Nursing Facility Survey Unit, part of the Oregon Department of Human Services, is currently looking for one full-time, permanent Resident Assessment Instrument Coordinator (Operations and Policy Analyst 3) to join the Tigard office. You will be helping match the needs of people in the community with available federal, state and local programs or other resources to meet those needs.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and four years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work.
  • Any combination of experience and education equivalent to seven years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.
  • Experience as a Health care professional working with long term care and nursing facilities.
  • Experience developing training to teach and instruct adult learners.
  • Demonstrated Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Federal and State rules/regulations governing nursing facilities.
  • Resident Assessment Coordinator certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assure that nursing facility providers and Client Care Surveyors are trained and provided ongoing technical assistance on the accurate use of the federal/state mandated Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).
  • The RAI is utilized to complete assessments of all nursing facility residents in order to develop plans of care and evaluate the ongoing healthcare needs of residents.
