About The Position
The Resident Aide provides direct care to residents at Capstone Village, primarily assisting with activities of daily living. The role also supports therapeutic activities and restorative programs and completes documentation required by the facility. Duties include helping residents dress, groom, bathe, exercise, use the restroom, and maintain proper positioning, including turning. The Resident Aide transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed; assists residents to the dining area or provides meals in their quarters; sets up trays and assists with feeding; documents intake or nourishment; and serves between-meal nourishment as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of healthcare work experience.
- Complete dementia training within five days of employment.
- Communication and listening skills.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's/dementia care.
- Successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation, including review of information from social media and other internet sources.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification.
- DETA training.
Responsibilities
